Email apps

Set up the Gmail app on Android

Add your Mail by vizsu address to the Gmail app on Android as an IMAP account with an app password.

Two generic phone screens. Incoming mail: email, app password, IMAP server mail.vizsu.com, port 993 SSL/TLS, username your full address. Outgoing mail: SMTP server mail.vizsu.com, port 465 SSL/TLS or 587 STARTTLS, username and app password.
Typical incoming and outgoing screens on a phone.
Before you start, create an app password in webmail under Settings → Password & security. Your vizsu account password does not work in email apps.

Steps

  1. Open the Gmail app, tap your profile picture, then Add another account → Other.
  2. Enter your full email address and tap Manual setup.
  3. Choose Personal (IMAP) and enter the app password.
  4. Incoming server: mail.vizsu.com, port 993, security SSL/TLS.
  5. Outgoing server: mail.vizsu.com, port 465, security SSL/TLS, Require sign-in on, same username and password.
  6. Choose sync options and finish.

Settings

Outgoing (SMTP)mail.vizsu.com465SSL/TLS

Other Android mail apps use the same settings; see Set up any other email app.

Troubleshooting

  • Authentication failed: the username must be your full address and the password an app password. Create a new one if unsure.
  • Can't send: make sure the outgoing server requires sign-in with the same username and password. If port 465 is blocked on your network, use 587 with STARTTLS.
